Just because school is out doesn’t mean our School Just because school is out doesn’t mean our School Resource Deputies are taking the summer off!

This week, members of our Juvenile Relations Bureau are in Jacksonville attending the Florida Association of School Resource Officers (FASRO) training conference, where they’re continuing to sharpen their skills and learn innovative ways to help keep our students safe.

From classroom instruction and hands-on demonstrations, to specialized training in online threat assessments, K-9 operations, Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED), and tactical medical response, our deputies are investing in the knowledge and tools needed to serve and protect our schools.

The learning never stops when it comes to the safety of our community’s children. #fasro #sro #protectandserve #alachuacounty #srd
