During the afternoon hours of Friday, June 5, 2026, FOCUS deputies received real-time intelligence that wanted subject, 24-year-old Fredrick Perryman, was in the vicinity of 3500 SW 34th St. Perryman was wanted out of Volusia County for numerous narcotics violation charges, Tampering with Evidence, Driving with a Suspended or Revoked License, and Fleeing and Eluding at High Speed and Reckless Disregard for Public Safety. Perryman was also wanted out of Polk County for narcotics violations.
ย
Deputies responded to the area and observed Perryman behind the wheel of a black Mercedes SUV, pulling into an apartment complex in the 700 block of SW 34th St. Law enforcement attempted to conduct a traffic stop on Perryman, but he reversed and accelerated backward through the parking lot. Two deputies positioned their vehicles in Perrymanโ€™s path, one in front of his SUV and one behind, in an attempt to stop him from fleeing, but Perryman rammed both of the deputiesโ€™ vehicles in an attempt to break free. He was unsuccessful. Additional deputies arrived on scene and used their vehicles to make direct contact with Perrymanโ€™s SUV, immobilizing it.

Perryman exited the car, and he was taken into custody.
ย
An inventory search of the SUV was conducted, and inside law enforcement located 67 grams of Marijuana, electric scale, and multiple baggies.
ย
Perrymanโ€™s license was suspended in 2024 for Fleeing and Eluding Law Enforcement with Reckless Disregard for Public Safety. He was found guilty at least once for previous Fleeing and Eluding.
ย
In addition to his warrant, Perryman was charged with Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Sell/Manufacture/Deliver, Fleeing/Eluding Police with Lights and Siren, Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Possession or Use of Drug Equipment, and Driving while License Suspended or
