Sgt. Eddie May was a cherished member of the ASO f Sgt. Eddie May was a cherished member of the ASO family who loved being part of the annual Safety Patrols trip to Washington, D.C. Each year, he looked forward to helping create lasting memories for the students who participated. In honor of his legacy, ASO established the Eddie May Scholarship, which gives selected fifth-grade Safety Patrol students the opportunity to attend the trip. Recipients are nominated by their School Resource Deputy and sponsors to experience this special journey.

On behalf of Educational Tours, we are proud to recognize this year’s Eddie May Scholarship recipients, Shell Elementary’s Adelynn Fletcher, and Lake Forest Elementary’s Deonte Jones.

The scholarships were presented to the students by Sheriff Scott in front of their teachers, classmates, and School Resource Deputy this morning.

Congratulations, Adelynn and Deonte!
