During the afternoon hours of Tuesday, March 24, 2026, FOCUS Unit DS T. White conducted a traffic stop on a silver Nissan in the 1000 block of E University Ave regarding a traffic infraction.

When making contact with the driver, 20-year-old Reuben Williams, Williams explained he had marijuana and a medical marijuana card in his vehicle. The card showed it expired in 2025. When DS White walked to the vehicle, he observed several bags of marijuana in plain view and the smell of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. As a result, a probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted. Inside, deputies located 112 grams of marijuana and more than 250 clear baggies.

Williams was arrested and placed in the back of the patrol car. He was informed by law enforcement that additional contraband found on his person would result in additional charges. Williams told deputies he had narcotics tucked under his genitalia. A clear bag of 13 Oxycodone Hydrochloride pills was retrieved from Williamโ€™s person.

A query of Williams revealed he was on probation for Burglary of an Occupied Conveyance.

Williams was charged with charged with Possession with Intent to Sell Oxycodone, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Sell, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Maintaining and Drug Vehicle, and Violation of Probation.

During the late evening hours of Tuesday, March 24, 2026, DS C. Henderson conducted a traffic stop on a bicycle for traffic infractions in the 1000 block of SW 61st St.

When making contact with the rider, 52-year-old Harvey Davenport, DS Henderson observed the smell of marijuana emitting from Davenportโ€™s person along with Davenport displaying several nervous indicators. Davenport denied having a medical marijuana card. When Davenport removed his wallet from his pocket, loose marijuana fell out of his pocket.

Davenport was detained, and a probable cause search of his person and backpack was conducted. During the search, law enforcement found a firearm with a loaded magazine reported missing out of Georgia, 40 grams of Fentanyl in powder and pill form (as little as 2 milligrams of fentanyl can be lethal, and this quantity could represent 20,000 potentially fatal doses), 1.7 grams of Cocaine, and 28 grams of Marijuana.

A query of Davenport revealed he was a convicted felon, previously serving time for Possession of a Controlled Substance, Carrying a Concealed Firearm, and Uttering Forgery.

Davenport was arrested and charged with Trafficking Fentanyl, Possession of Cocaine, Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Sell, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Possession of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony, and Possession of Marijuana Over 20 Grams.
