Over the weekend at the Saint Phillips Lodge annua

Over the weekend at the Saint Phillips Lodge annual toy giveaway in Archer, between 75-100 kids showed up for a joyful day along with members from the Public Information and Community Services Division and our Special Teams. Together, they cooked food, played games, handed out toys, including bicycles, and spent meaningful time with the community. The day truly captured the Christmas spirit and reminded us what the holiday season is all about!

During the evening hours of Monday, December 22, 2025, multiple ASO FOCUS Unit deputies observed wanted suspect, 36-year-old Christopher Connolly, in the area of 3330 SW Archer Rd. Connolly was wanted out of Hamilton County for Armed Burglary, Grand Theft of a Firearm, and Theft of Credit Cards.

Deputies attempted to make contact with Connolly, but he fled upon sight of law enforcement despite multiple lawful commands to stop. Connolly was subsequently apprehended by an agency K9 and taken into custody.

A search incident to arrest of Connolly’s person revealed a glass pipe with residue. In his backpack, deputies located a bag of methamphetamine.

Connolly received medical attention for his injuries sustained during the apprehension, before being cleared and being booked into the Alachua County Jail. In addition to his warrant, he was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Resisting without Violence. #bodycam #bodycamera #protectandserve #lawenforcement #gainesville #florida #wanted #alachuacounty #publicsafety #publicservice
