Our hearts and mailbox are full with another sweet message from a citizen who wanted to recognize Deputy Branden Garmon. She sent us the following message:

"My mom buried her significant other of 20 years today and she was having a tough time mentally. Officer Garmon was so patient and compassionate towards her and I thank him for that. He’s definitely an asset to our community. I could really see that it’s not just a job for him he cares."

We See You Deputy Garmon!

The Alachua County Sheriff's Office received a heartwarming message from a person who recently visited our jail to see their loved one. The message stated the following:

"I would like to recognize Leslie Piggott at the Alachua County Jail for her kindness and professionalism during our recent visit. My niece and I arrived late for visitation, yet she still allowed us the opportunity to see my son, which meant so much to our family.

During the visit, my niece needed to run back to the car to change her shorts, and Ms. Piggott handled the situation with patience and understanding. She did give us a stern but fair reminder to be within the 15-minute window next time, which we completely understand and respect.

Her approach was both professional and compassionate. We simply wanted someone to know how much we appreciate her. She is always kind, helpful, and respectful, and those qualities truly make a difference during what can be a stressful time for families.

We just wanted to take the time to recognize her excellent service."

Incredible Job Leslie! We See You!
