𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐋𝐢𝐞𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐭

Sgt. Scott Bonafide was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant assigned to the Patrol Operations Division.

Lt. Bonafide has worked at ASO for a total of 21 years. His career at the agency after receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminology.

During his time at ASO, Lt. Bonafide has worked in multiple divisions. He started in Patrol before transferring to K9, where he worked for seven years. From K9 he transferred to the Criminal Investigations Division and was a detective on the Drug Task Force. He was later assigned to the Juvenile Relations Bureau as a School Resource Deputy (SRD), where he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant. After working in the schools, Lt. Bonafide eventually transferred to the Training Division and Civil Bureau.

Lt. Bonafide has received the following awards while working at ASO:
Meritorious Award
Award of Excellence as a Drug Task Force Detective
Hurricane Relief Award

𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐋𝐢𝐞𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐭

Sgt. Tyler Cook was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant assigned to the Patrol Operations Division.

Lt. Cook began his law enforcement career with the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office in 2013.

He has worked in the Patrol Operations Division, Criminal Investigations Division, and the Judicial Services and Training Bureau as a Deputy and a Supervisor.

Lt. Cook has proudly served on the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team and Sniper Team for more than 10 years.

Lt. Cook has received multiple, including:

Two Unit Citations
Two Meritorious Service Awards
Combat Award
Sheriff’s Citation
2022 Sky Valor Award

The Alachua County Sheriff's Office Administration Building is located off SE Hawthorne Road in Gainesville, Florida.

For visitation at the Jail, that facility is located at 3333 NE 39th Avenue, Gainesville, Florida 32609.
