Today, Sheriff Scott, Capt. Sims, elected officials, and dedicated volunteers came together to pack weekend hunger bags with @f4knfl, an incredible local nonprofit working to support food-insecure children and families in our community.

With just one employee, Food4Kids is powered by volunteers and generous donations that help fill bags and boxes for families in need. If you’d like to get involved, you can drop off nonperishable items at any Gainesville Health and Fitness location, volunteer to help pack or deliver food to schools, or participate in their Inaugural Golf Tournament on February 20. On Monday, January 26, 2026, the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office/Gainesville Police Department Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force received a CyberTip that led Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Investigators to a concerning situation involving a subject sharing illegal material online.

Using specialized investigative techniques, ASO Detective J. Finch traced the content to a social media account associated with an Alachua County resident 26-year-old Trinity Johnson. Further investigation indicated that Johnson had a personal connection to one of the victims depicted, raising concerns about her ability to further victimize children.

On Thursday, January 29, 2026, law enforcement located Johnson at a residence in NW Alachua. Detective Finch made contact, and after questioning, Johnson was arrested and transported to the Alachua County Jail.

Johnson is charged with 64 counts of Distribution of Child Pornography, 10 counts of Possession of Child Pornography, two counts of Manufacturing Child Pornography, and one count of Use of a Two-Way Communication Device to Facilitate a Felony.

The Alachua County Sheriff’s Office shares this information to uphold our commitment to transparency and to assure the public that crimes involving child exploitation are taken seriously. This remains an active investigation, and no further details will be released at this time to protect the integrity of the case.
