May 3rd - 9th is National Correctional Officers Week, a time to recognize and thank the dedicated Detention Officers and Detention Deputies who work tirelessly to maintain a safe, secure, and humane environment within our Department of the Jail.

Their role is often misunderstood, but their commitment is vital not only to the safety of their fellow colleagues and our community, but also to the wellbeing and care of those incarcerated. Through professionalism, compassion, and unwavering dedication, they serve an essential role in the mission of public safety.

Hear from some of our committed Detention Officers and Deputies as they share how they support that mission through the three Cโ€™s of Corrections: Care, Custody, and Control.
